"Why, I ask myself, are you so depressed? Why are you so upset inside? Hope in God!
Because I will again give him thanks, my saving presence and my God (Psalm 42:5).
You Are Stronger Than Depression
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest; it affects how you feel, think, and behave, thankfully there is hope in God. He says, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). There is no situation, circumstance, or illness that God cannot deliver and restore you from. God is our loving Father. He hears our cries when no one else does. "The LORD is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). God will never despise a broken spirit (Psalm 51:17). He wants us to call upon Him; He will deliver us, and we will glorify Him (Psalm 50:15). Give God thanks. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Hope In God
Remember the things God has already done, and you will again give Him thanks. As you meditate on the True Word of God, Say to yourself "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). Sometimes you have to encourage yourself. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Praise God from Whom all blessings flow for the things He has done. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
